This Sucks

I got to my car this morning to find the front passenger window was now in many tiny pieces on the ground. Someone had decided they wanted my iPod and figured asking politely wasn't going to work. However, my iPod is hooked up directly to my car stereo through a Dension IceLink, so it wasn't exactly free from cabling. The theif decided that they needed the whole center console, so they took that with them and ripped out the IceLink. So, I'm sans car window, center console, and iPod. The upside is that now I have a legitmate excuse to upgrade to an iPod Video and I can get a new IceLink that takes advantage of all the new bells and whistles they've worked out. Insurance is covering everything. I just selected an auto body place, brought it over, and they drove me over to Enterprise to get a rental car. Oddly enough, Enterprise gave me a rental Mazda 3 to replace my Mazda 3. Weird. The whole process (not counting the police and cleanup) took about an hour of time total, so quite the painless experience (relatively speaking). I'm also going to get the dent in my door repaired that I've been procrastinating about for almost a year now. Should be back on the road by Friday.
