Where Our Cage Will Be

I visited the AtlantaNAP facility today, and it's looking pretty nice. I'll admit that when I first walked up, it looks like they were nowhere near finishing, but that's because I was looking at the office space and the various construction materials strewn about. To be honest, they are actually quite close to being done (as they've said, of course). The paint is still drying on the office spaces, but they just need to get rid of the masking tape and mats, and sweep the floor to really be done with that portion.

The colo space is almost ready for us. The cage dude will be installing them next week and we'll be moving in our racks on Thursday. Power will be installed shortly afterwards, since it has to be physically attacked to the actual rack (well, technically it doesn't need to be, but it's much nicer to have it that way). The network should be live in the facility in a few days and power was turned up a few hours before I arrived, so it's almost all there. The AC units were being worked on, but are getting hooked up soon. We should be live before June 1st.

They actually have to meet that date because there is some unnamed search engine going into a cage across from us by then. I asked for the name, but Jeff wasn't able to tell me. I'm sure I'll be able to figure it out once they actually start installing stuff in there. But I do know it's someone I'd recognize. I'm guessing Yahoo, Ask.com, MSN, or Google, since that's all I can think of off the top of my head. Don't worry, I'll be getting pictures :P
